Grace Room Ministries Joins Gasabo District in Tree Planting during the Community Work known as “UMUGANDA”

On October 26, 2024, Grace Room Ministries proudly joined fellow residents, leaders in Gasabo District and Remera Sector for the monthly community work known as UMUGANDA.

Focusing on environmental stewardship, participants planted over 3,500 trees in Nyarutarama Cell, including fruit trees generously donated by Grace Room Ministries to support local schools. The Vice-Mayor of Gasabo District, Regis Mudaheranwa, commended all participants, highlighting Grace Room Ministries as a valued partner in community development projects.

Pastor Julienne K. Kabanda, Senior Pastor and Vision Bearer of Grace Room Ministries, expressed gratitude for Rwanda’s leadership, praising the government’s dedication to environmental care and community unity. “I urge everyone to nurture the newly planted trees and the environment,” she added.

Grace Room Ministries donated 1,000 fruit trees, mangoes, lemons, avocados, and oranges, to GS Remera and GS Remera Catholic schools. These trees contribute to the National School Feeding Project, aiming to enhance students’ diets while promoting environmental sustainability. Remera Sector Executive, Deo Rugabirwa, noted that this initiative is part of an ongoing effort to improve students’ nutrition and well-being.

Grace Room Ministries remains committed to supporting projects that strengthen our community and environmental sustainability. The event reflects the power of unity in creating a positive and lasting impact on nature and people.
